Using & Configuring Skinary

How do I use Skinary?

Skinary is an app to track your skin and your overall health. At its most basic level, it helps you keep track of selfies, skin concerns and habits.

When you first downloaded the app, it asked you a bunch of questions about your lifestyle and skin, and asked to take a selfies.

We use these questions to make your first recommendations. The app will learn from you and get more accurate over time.

Now whenever you open the app, you can enter data by tapping on the white + button, and take a selfie clicking the camera button.

When you tap on it, you will be prompted to enter data for today - cleansing routine, diet, mood and more. You can also select any calendar day in the past.

Skinary also shows you where you are in your skin cycle, symbolized by the semi-circle. As time goes by, Skinary will learn more about your skin and help you keep track of your concerns, habits, elfies and more.

Why can’t I use Skinary without an account?

In order to use Skinary, you need to create an account. Having an account will ensure that your data is always backed up and safe, so that you can retrieve it in case of phone loss or change.

How private is my information?

Skinary is designed in a way that no one can gain access to your personal information without your explicit consent.

What does Skinary do to secure my data?

We follow industry best practices to ensure the security of your data including one-way encryption of your password (“hashing” + “salting”) and secured data transmission between your smartphone and our servers using the HTTPS protocol for encryption. What is the GDPR and how does it affect me??

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Why do I have to be above 13 years old to create an account, or have the permission of a parent or guardian to use the app?

Respecting the privacy of minors using our app is Skinary’s priority. Skinary does not knowingly collect personal data from users under the age of 13 years old without the permission of their parents or guardians. If Skinary determines that it has inadvertently collected personal data from underaged users without proper consent, we will ensure that all personal data from such users is promptly deleted from our servers.

I do not want to accept the Terms of Use agreement. What are my options?

If you wish to keep on using the Skinary app, you must accept our Terms of Use agreement. This agreement has been carefully drafted with the rights of our users in mind. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need more explanation. Of course, you also have the option to delete your account, should you decide not to accept our agreement.
